Thank-you to everyone who continues to read my blog. Back in 2012 I received only 6,000 visits albeit in just 6 months. 2013 saw the beginning of an exponential rise to 45,000 visits. Incredibly 2014 almost doubled this total with 83,000 visits to my blog.
2015 had me with just one blogging goal left, could I reach 100,000 readers in a year. Of course I could! It looks like by the end of the year I will have reached 111,000 visitors for the year of 2015.
That’s a lot of visitors for a site that is only updated twice a week or so and isn’t exactly mainstream so thank-you very much everyone.
I’m not sure I can beat that in 2016, it would require 305 readers a day but for now I will keep on blogging and focus on quality rather than quantity. If there is anything you’d like to see more of on my blog, do let me know. Though I don’t blog every day, each post can take several hours to write and collate and whilst I do enjoy it, it can at times be creatively exhausting!
Also if anyone has a brainwave of how to make 111,000 my one of my books each then I’d gladly fly you to my Caribbean island as a thank-you for the resulting royalties 🙂
Happy New Year everyone!
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 110,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 5 days for that many people to see it.
