Home of prominent Victorian Prime Mnister Benjamin Disraeli
Hughenden Manor is beautifully situated in the rolling wooded Chiltern Hills, an official Area of Outstanding Beauty yet just 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport.
Hughenden Manor was home to one of the most prominent Victorian era Prime Ministers, Sir Benjamin Disraeli, who was interestingly our only Jewish Prime Minister, at least until 2018.
The house is grand though more modest than you might think. Smartly decorated yet intimately cosy. You can see the desk of the Prime Minister, who helped Queen Victoria run the British Empire at its very peak and see the many volumes of books in his library.
The are numerous walks and gardens around the house, but a visit here can also include a trip to nearby Henley, home of the Royal Regatta or perhaps a trip to the Wycombe Fire-caves or Windsor Castle. The choice as always is yours.
