This special private day tour leaves London Kings Cross by train to arrive at the North East city of Newcastle Upon Tyne around 3 hours later. Newcastle is the final great city before the Scottish border and its heritage has plenty of reminders of Romans, marauding Vikings and invading Scots!
Newcastle was once famous for its heavy industry in the shape of coal-mining and ship building and all manner of other things such as trains but has been transformed over the last few decades into a top weekend destination and one renowned around the world for its bridges, nightlife, architecture and friendly locals.
Our walking tour will take us along the famous quayside and also visit Cathedrals, medieval walls and castles, Roman remains and Georgian streets that more than match those in Edinburgh or Bath.
