Based on my forthcoming book Angels of Postman’s Park. This tour is another one that is absolutely unique and explores not just a side of London tourists never get to see but also tells the true life stories of every day Victorian heroes who lost their lives whilst saving others.
We’ll start off in the shadow of St Pauls at Postman’s Park (as featured on the Secret Gardens of the City of London tour) and the The Memorial To Heroic Self-Sacrifice At Postman’s Park and learn about some of the heroic figures of Victorian London that are remembered here.
Our tour will then head off to various places so that having seen memorials like this.
We can visit the very spots where it happened like this.
Along the way we will visit neighbourhoods that have little changed in the intervening years and learn about just what like was like and the tremendous acts of unimaginable bravery that made the headlines (some around the world) back in the 19th century but which now are largely forgotten.
