This is now my third end of year report having been on WordPress for almost 2.5 years. It’s been a long road, getting from there to here. Thank-you to everyone who reads my blog whether regularly or infrequently or those who simply visit once from a wild search on Google. It seems I have the internet covered when it comes to maps, poetry from the trenches, the destruction of Mecca by Saudi Arabia, various historical events and that Virgin letter of complaint.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 83,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 4 days for that many people to see it.

Great work Stephen. You are my hero!
