My 2013 blog year in review

Well it has been a busy blogging year and I’d just like to thank everyone who spares me a minute of their time to see what I am up to.

It’s been a pretty horrid year away from blogging with the loss of my mother and my job, albeit I hated my job and had been waiting that day for many years.

On the plus side I published 2 books and met lots of bloggers and readers who have now become friends.  If you are one of those who got in touch in March/April 2013, thank-you very much indeed.

I’m frequently amazed at the number of readers from around the world and also those that search for terms from places like Zambia and Kazakstan.  It seems people have stopped by from all but around 5 countries, Greenland, Uzbekistan, North Korea and one or two others.  Well it’s their loss!   The amount of people who visit every day to read my post on The Great Gatsby is astounding but I’m pleased my post on Poetry from the Trenches came up as the most popular as I will be writing a WW1 related book next year.

Happy New Year to everyone and for those who are interested, here are my stats, no not those ones, my blog ones below!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 45,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 17 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
